Statutory Testing Support
At St John XXIII Catholic Primary, we understand the importance of statutory assessments in tracking the educational progress of our pupils. In the Early Years we provide a nurturing environment that encourages young learners to embrace the foundational stages with confidence and curiosity. At the end of their Reception year, the pupils are assessed against the Early Learning Goals.
Phonics and Times Tables form the cornerstone of our curriculum because mastery in these areas significantly enhances further learning. Our dedicated staff employ engaging and innovative teaching methods to ensure all students, from the youngest to those in Year 6, develop strong literacy and numeracy skills. This solid foundation supports their academic journey through primary school and prepares them for future challenges.
For our Year 6 students, we offer specialised sessions focused on revision and test preparation to build their confidence ahead of their Key Stage 2 SATs. These initiatives are part of our commitment to ensuring that every pupil achieves their full potential. We invite parents to partner with us in supporting their children through these pivotal stages of their education.
